Family Fun Night
Friday, October 26
6 – 8 pm
Our annual Family Fun Night is creeping up on us!
Please join us for a night of festive fun including carnival games and prizes, a scary cake walk, and a costume contest. Keep an eye out for more information and the sign-up genius to see how you can help and earn volunteer hours.
Also, this year, as part of Family Fun Night, we are having a Chili and cornbread cook-off!
Dust off your crock-pot and dig up your award winning family recipes! We only have room for 15 chili contestants so you will want to register early. There will be a flyer going home this week in your child’s back pack.
Fill out the form and return it to the office or email email@example.com to register. Unlimited cornbread entries are allowed. Besides the pride of winning, there will prizes for the best spicy chili, non-traditional chili, kid friendly chili and finally, the best in show! If you don’t cook, come out to enjoy the food and judge the entrees!
As a way to celebrate not only the 30th anniversary of our Auction & Gala but also our amazing community, St. Al’s will be publishing a cookbook titled, Community Kitchen.
Do you have a favorite family recipe? Or maybe you have a traditional dessert you make every Christmas? What about that quick and easy weeknight meal that all the kids will eat? We’d love for you to share your recipes with our St. Al’s community!
We’re looking for recipe submissions from our entire St. Al’s community, so please feel free to forward to parishioners, alumni, and/or alumni parents!
The cookbook will be published November 2018 and first sales will be at the Auction & Gala.
If you would like your recipe to be considered for our cookbook, please fill out this form.
- Recipes must be original or adapted recipes (if possible, please include credit to original recipe). We cannot accept published or copyrighted recipes.
- Submissions are due August 1, 2018.
Please contact Season Evans with any questions or if you have issues with the submission form.
Thank you to all of our Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ who joined us on Friday, May 25th!
We so enjoyed the 3rd grade prayer assembly, the Kindergarten and 1st Grade songs, and the musical numbers from Mary Poppins, Jr. Our Book Sale was a success (all proceeds benefit our wonderful library) and the cake was delicious!
Finally, we loved seeing all the smiling faces in the photos by Suzy Petrucci of GlimmerGlass Photography. Here is the link to the photos, and the PIN (05252018) you’ll need to download. Enjoy!
