{"id":1550,"date":"2019-11-07T09:06:07","date_gmt":"2019-11-07T17:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stalseattle.org\/school\/?p=1550"},"modified":"2019-11-07T09:17:53","modified_gmt":"2019-11-07T17:17:53","slug":"principals-corner-october3-2-2-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stalseattle.org\/school\/blog\/archives\/1550","title":{"rendered":"Principal&#8217;s Corner: November 7, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"600\">\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h2><strong>Message from the Principal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hello St. Al Families,<\/p>\n<p>As many of you know we are celebrating Saints Month the entire month of November here at St. Alphonsus.\u00a0Saints are important figures as they not only provide precious examples of God-centered living but they also intercede on our behalf, listening to our prayers, and easing our pain.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When I was incredibly new to the Catholic Church, my first encounter with a specific saint took place on All Saints Day.\u00a0 The church I was attending at the time had a saints parade with children dressed up as saints, sitting in special pews marked for them during the mass. This was my second mass after beginning RCIA and the priest immediately directed me to a specific row.\u00a0 \u201cYou need to sit here,\u201d he said. \u201cThis saint is your saint.\u201d He then introduced me to the girl dressed up as St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and her mother who sat next to me for mass.
