MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Merry Christmas to our St. Al family and friends,<\/p>\n

This year Christmas is different but there are so many things that, for me, still feel the same.\u00a0 Christmas music has always been a dear part of the season for me and my family.\u00a0 Whether it was singing in the church and school choirs, playing records as we put up our decorations, or playing my ukulele for my husband, music has been part of each holiday season.\u00a0 Music speaks to our souls, serves as the background to our celebrations, and allows us to express what we cannot get out in words.<\/p>\n

It was this Christmas music love that led to my love of Andy Williams.\u00a0 While I always say he is a source of year-round enjoyment, it is his Christmas music that speaks to so many.\u00a0 Songs like \u201cBells of St. Mary\u2019s\u201d, \u201cIt\u2019s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year\u201d, and Sleigh Ride\u201d scream Christmas cheer to me.\u00a0 Being the big fan that I am, I was surprised to discover one new (to me) favorite about five or six years ago, \u201cChristmas is a Feeling in Your Heart\u201d<\/a>.\u00a0 This song captures the meaning of this beautiful season and warms the heart the way any great Christmas song can.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There are toys for girls and boys<\/em>
\nSilver bells make merry noise<\/em>
\nYet you should remember from the start<\/em>
\nChristmas is a feeling in your heart<\/p>\n

Holly wreaths and mistletoe<\/em>
\nCarols by the candle’s glow<\/em>
\nThese are not the most important part<\/em>
\nChristmas is a feeling in your heart<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n
Faith and hope, goodwill to man<\/em>
\nLove and peace, and faith again<\/em>
\nLet the prayers that Christmas bring<\/em>
\nBrush your heart like angel wings<\/p>\n

Christmas Day will soon be gone<\/em>
\nYet the joy will linger on<\/em>
\nIf you only learn to do your part<\/em>

While we are still sacrificing amidst the pandemic, we know that this season is about something greater.\u00a0 As the song says, the decorations and traditions are wonderful, but it is the love, joy, peace, faith, and hope that we hold in our hearts.\u00a0 This season, no matter where\/how you find yourself celebrating, I wish you and your family immense joy, hope, love, and peace.\u00a0 May the love of God bless and keep each of you this holiday season and all year round.<\/p>\n
