MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hello and Happy Thursday,<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a wonderful week with our Angels all back in the building.\u00a0 It has been a year almost to the day that we received the news of our first pandemic closure.\u00a0 What we thought was two weeks, turned into six weeks, and then the rest of the year.\u00a0 It has been quite a journey as we learned how to navigate remote learning and worked together to stay St. Al Strong.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n


\nThis week, I wanted to share a prayer with you that was shared at one of my principal meetings.\u00a0 We have been through a lot this past year and as we reflect on that time it is important to remember to take a moment to pause, to breathe, and to cherish our blessings.\u00a0 We have all been through something monumental.\u00a0 So much was asked of everyone and so much was sacrificed.\u00a0 It is ok to mourn what we lost, and it is just as important to carry hope into tomorrow.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

An Examen for Times of Anxiety and Depression<\/strong>
\nI pause (breathe in and out<\/em>) and thank you for this day. For the challenges, the emotions, the struggle. For in all this, I grow closer to you.
\nI pause (breathe in and out<\/em>) and ask that in the darkness, I see your light and in my fear, I feel your strength.
\nI pause (breathe in and out<\/em>) and remember that today, As in days before, I have survived. When I\u2019ve wanted to run, I\u2019ve stayed. When I wanted to hide, I\u2019ve faced the day.
\nI pause (breathe in and out<\/em>) and ask for forgiveness for the days I falter and the disease takes over. I ask for compassion and love when I\u2019m unable to give those to myself.
\nI pause (breathe in and out<\/em>) and resolve to love myself more tomorrow. And always feel your spirit surround me in safety.
\nI pause (breathe in and out<\/em>) and rest.
