Preschool Programs for 3 to 5 Year Olds

St. Al’s Preschool Program allows each child to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually at his or her own pace.

We strive to develop a student who has a good self-image, respects the rights of others, is a self-learner, and sees the wonders of God in the world around him or her.

Montessori Focus

The Montessori method focuses on individually-paced learning and the development of each child with respect to their needs or talents, as opposed to the needs of the class as a whole. Our goal is to help the child maintain their natural joy of learning.

Exploratory Focus

The exploratory classroom program is a loving, child centered program that offers developmentally appropriate activities centered around play. The classroom is a place to explore and exercise the mind and body. It strives to foster creativity, original thought, problem solving, and self-help skills along with self-esteem.

Best of Both Methods

Our expert teachers understand their models of teaching. We believe that combining a Montessori focus with an exploratory focus provides our students with an enriched education that prepares our students for St. Alphonsus Kindergarten.

Catholic Principals

St. Alphonsus Preschool teachers see themselves as aides to parents in the faith development of the child. Our goal is to encourage each child to come to know the love God has for them.

The 4s Full-day class attends Mass in the St. Alphonsus Parish Church on Tuesday mornings with the K-8 students.

Our teachers are certified in Early Childhood education development.

The teacher to child ratio never exceeds 10:1.
