We offer hands-on learning and sports camps for rising students in grades K-8. Camps are staffed by St. Al’s teachers and community members. Check out all our offerings below. Half-day and full-day options available.
What to Bring
All campers should bring a snack, water bottle, and sack lunch (if they’re doing a full-day option). All other materials will be provided.
Refund Policy
$50 cancellation fee if cancel before May 31.
50% refund if cancel after May 31 and at least one week before registered date.
No refunds if cancel within one week of registered date.
Week 1: June 16-20
Morning Session: 9am-12pm
Think Like a Computer Scientist (rising 5th-8th)
Instructor: Eli Sherwood
Price: $125
Students grades 5-8 will learn some fundamentals of computer science by realizing them in the environment that is already familiar to them. The majority of the camp will not involve looking at a screen as coding is only about 20% of the instruction. Students will take away from this camp a new way of looking at and thinking about the world around them. Students will learn logical problem solving and how to document their problem solving process. Students will learn to look at technology through the eyes of its creator and will even learn to apply this thought process to view the whole of creation through the eyes of The Creator. After developing these skills, they will apply them to create a simple text based computer game.

Basketball Camp (rising 3rd-5th)

Join our exciting summer basketball camp for 3rd to 5th graders, coached by the amazing Mr. Anderson! Kids will learn the fundamentals of basketball, improve their skills, and make new friends through fun drills and games. Our experienced coach ensures a supportive and energetic environment where every child can thrive and enjoy the sport.
STEM Explorers (rising K-2nd)

Join our exciting STEM Explorers camp for K-2nd graders, led by the wonderful Ms. Duncan! Young learners will dive into the world of science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities and fun experiments. Every day is an adventure as kids explore and discover the wonders of STEM.

Crafting Extravaganza (rising K-5th)
Instructor: Tricia Cintron & Claudia Duncan

Join our Crafting Extravaganza camp for K-5th graders, led by the creative Ms. Duncan and Mrs. Cintron! Kids will explore their artistic talents through a variety of fun and engaging craft projects. Our enthusiastic instructors ensure a vibrant and inspiring environment where every child can express their creativity and make beautiful art.

Babysitter & First Aid Training (rising 6th-8th)
Instructor: Kathleen Fleming
Price: $125
Join our Babysitter and First Aid Training camp for students, led by Mrs. Fleming, the director of our preschool program! Participants will learn essential babysitting skills and first aid techniques, preparing them to be responsible and confident caregivers. Students will also gain hands-on experience by assisting in the summer day care program on campus.

Morning Session: 9am-12pm
Glass Fusing Class (rising 5th-8th)
Instructor: Melissa Chittenden
Price: $175
Since Roman times, people have seen beautiful, fused glass art everywhere around them. It takes the form of hanging artwork, bowls, coasters, jewelry and more. Contemporary fusing methods involve cutting, shaping and stacking thin sheets of colored and textured glass to create patterns or simple images. The stacked creation is then placed inside the kiln to fuse at a series of high temperatures. Students will have a chance to learn how to create fused glass pieces by making their own projects with Ms. C!

Wax Wonders: Encaustic Art Class (rising 5th-8th)
Instructor: Melissa Chittenden
Price: $175
Encaustic painting is a unique and ancient art form that involves using heated beeswax (smells so good!), mixed with colored pigments to create stunning works of layered or 3D art. This technique dates to ancient Greece and Egypt, where it was used to create portraits and even decorate ships. Today, encaustic painting has experienced a resurgence in popularity among contemporary artists who are drawn to its rich history and versatile nature. Students will have a chance to learn a variety of encaustic art techniques while creating original pieces with Ms. C!

Core Classics: Don Quixote (rising 5th-6th)

Dig into your summer reading assignment with an immersive reading workshop with Ms. Bender and your peers! Students will read a book off the summer reading list, explore the historical time period, and participate in extension activities. This is the best way to complete your summer reading!
The Great St. Al's Bake-Off (rising 7th-8th)
Instructor: Monica Wisen

Join The Great St. Al’s Bake-Off camp for middle schoolers, led by the talented Mrs. Wisen! Students will master baking techniques and create delicious treats using the cafeteria kitchen. This fun and interactive camp will inspire young bakers to showcase their culinary creativity and compete in friendly baking challenges.
