MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Hello Angels,

Happy Holy Week to our St. Alphonsus community.  This is a truly special week each year as we reflect, share, and celebrate our purpose as God’s children.  Teachers have been preparing students for this week through a variety of classroom activities.  During morning prayer and announcement time, we had Sr. Mary Elizabeth Albers share the meaning behind Holy Week, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter, and everyone’s new favorite term –the Triduum. Tomorrow we will have our 8th-grade class share the stations of the cross virtually, in an extended morning prayer time.  We conclude our week together with early release at noon on Good Friday.

Holy week is one of the most special weeks of the year for our Catholic community.  It reminds us of the greatest gift, God’s love and forgiveness.  During this time, let us be reminded that we are all God’s children, that His forgiveness knows no bounds, and we are called to love because He first loved us.

I wish all of you a very joyous Easter and a wonderful spring break.  Go in love, go in faith, and spread joy.  Happy Holy Week.

Thank you,
Kathleen Daspit
