Saint Alphonsus Parish School’s annual Jog-a-thon fundraiser is coming up on Thursday, May 2, 2019. This fun event is a student favorite and an important fundraiser for our school.
The Jog-a-thon committee is looking for volunteers to help plan the event. We are seeking individuals who are interested in communications, logistics, and hospitality. If one of these focus areas looks like a good fit, please email email@example.com.
Please note, requests for day of event volunteers will be coming in April.
Each year the student receive a Jog-a-Thon T-shirt and this year we are looking for a St. Alphonsus Angel to design our Jog-a-Thon Running Shoe T-shirt Logo! Logo designs should be submitted to the office or teacher (homeroom for middle school kids) by February 1st. The link to the art submission form and instructions are attached below.
There will be 2 winners in each class, a boy and a girl, who will receive a coupon for an ice cream. The final winner will be chosen from these designs.
We can’t wait to see what our Angels come up with!

The tree is located in The Commons. Please pick an “ornament” with a suggested item to donate and return the item to the school by December 19th.

Wow! St. Al’s really knows how to help out community in a short time. In just two days our community gathered and delivered over 500 cans of tuna/chicken, 29 packages of pasta, 63 cans of vegetables, 100 protein/breakfast bars, and many, many more items to The Queen Anne Food Bank! Great Job Angels!
The food bank and its patrons were very grateful for your donations.
November is in full swing and so is Saint Month. All over the school doors are being decorated and students are learning about the specific saints for their classrooms. November is also a very full month with events, such as our school auction just right around the corner. Make sure to check out the school calendar on our website for more information.
Accreditation Parent Survey
As some of you may know, this is our self-study year for accreditation. This fall we have already been collecting evidence for various sections of our report. We are now asking for the completion of a parent survey, filled out by current parents of St. Alphonsus students. The deadline for completion of the survey is November 16. At that time we will take the survey offline and begin sorting through responses. Your participation in this survey is essential. It serves as a key item for our initial analysis of the current state of our school and will be counted among other forms of data to determine next steps in our accreditation journey.
Congratulations to 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys soccer. Along with our teammates from St. John, they both won their championship games this weekend.
