Enter Your Volunteer Hours

Enter Your Volunteer Hours!

Now is the time to enter your volunteer hours on RenWeb. We’ll be calculating hours worked, as of March 15, for the “Where You’re At” balance letters that will be sent home at the end of March.

If you’re still in need of Auction hours, here are two great opportunities:

  • Loyal Heights Elementary – March 23 at Nordic Museum
  • St. John School – April 5 at Fremont Studios
Please email development@stalseattle.org if you would like to sign up to volunteer for one or both of these auctions.

Additional volunteer opportunities are listed HERE.

Principal's Corner

Principal’s Corner – September 27, 2018

Hello St. Al Families,

We are almost through our first month of school. Now that things are settling down a bit and routines are established, I would like to send out a few reminders. First, remember to check your email for weekly updates from me, as well as any other pertinent school information from teachers or other staff. If you have not already done so, please check the information on RenWeb to make sure phone numbers, email addresses, and authorized pick-up/emergency contact adults are current. Updating your RenWeb information will ensure that we are able to contact you with any important school information and allow us to notify you quickly should we need to reach you during the school day.

Also, it looks like cold and flu season has arrived a little early this year.  We have had a plethora of runny noses, coughs, and upset stomachs. We love each and every day we get to spend with your students, but if they are sick please keep them home. If we send a student home after being ill at school or if a student was ill during the night at home, we ask that they not return until they are fever and vomit free for at least 24 hours.  This helps to ensure a speedy recovery and reduces risk of spreading the illness to others.

Finally, I would like to say a special thank you to everyone who purchased items from our book fair. This event assists us in funding our library and provides additional reading material for our classrooms. I would like to extend a special thank you to Lori Corcoro and Melissa Rodriguez-Murphy who organized/managed the fair, and a thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to set-up and pack-up all of the fair items. Our community made this event a success and our students will benefit in a variety of ways.

Thank you for a wonderful first month. I wish you all a wonderful end of September.

Thank you,
Kathleen Cifu
