We believe that an excellent Catholic education should be accessible to all.
The school offers two types of need-based tuition assistance:
- St. Alphonsus School Tuition Assistance
- Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Grants
Families apply for both programs through the FACTS Grant & Aid portal, an independent, third-party service that reviews financial information to determine financial need. Families must re-apply each year.
If you think your family will need tuition assistance for the next academic year, we encourage you to submit your tuition assistance application early in the admissions process.

Application Requirements
- Apply: https://online.factsmgt.com/aid
- Application fee: $35 per family
- Eligibility: K-8 students only
- Documents: Federal income tax returns and, when applicable, W-2s and documentation for non-taxable income. You may still apply if you don’t file taxes or don’t have a Social Security Number.
- Answer “Yes”: To the application question, “Are you applying for Fulcrum Foundation tuition assistance?”
- Deadline: Friday, December 18 – all required documentation must be submitted by this date.
- Application status: Your application must show VER (verified) or DNF (did not file) after submission.
Programs Overview
Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Program Grants (TAP Grants)
The Fulcrum Foundation TAP grants are designed for families and students currently enrolled or applying for the next school year in any Catholic school, grades K-12, in the Archdiocese of Seattle. A family must apply each year through FACTS Grant and Aid portal to qualify for a grant. All awards are made based on financial need.
If your student qualifies for an award, Fulcrum will notify you and then disburse the grant funds directly to St. Alphonsus School. The school will then reduce the student’s tuition obligation by the amount of the award.
For the 2027-28 school year, grants are $1,375 for students in grades K-8.

St. Alphonsus School Tuition Assistance
Upon submitting the Fulcrum TAP Grant application through the FACTS Grant & Aid portal, families may be considered to receive additional tuition assistance through St. Alphonsus School.
Guidelines
- Students must register at St. Alphonsus School prior to applying for tuition assistance. All registration fees are non-refundable, even if aid is not granted.
- Current students have priority for tuition assistance, followed by St. Alphonsus Parish parishioners, and finally to new families.
- St. Alphonsus School reserves the right to conduct further reviews of applicants, including verification of parish involvement and research of certain hardship cases to determine needs.
- All information received will be treated confidentially and is used only to arrive at a fair determination of financial need.
- Any money granted is subject to the number of applicants and available funding. Not all applicants will be granted tuition assistance.
- Tuition assistance is granted on an annual basis and can be discontinued at any time if the family does not abide by the criteria detailed below.
- Parent support and school involvement
- Demonstrated financial need
- Academic performance of student (maintain 2.0 average)
- Disciplinary history of student
- St. Alphonsus family financial accounts are current, account history may be reviewed
