New here? Start with these six.
Welcome to St. Alphonsus School! These are the things that make the first month feel manageable.
1. Subscribe to the Angels’ Angle
The school’s regular news update — events, announcements, deadlines. Subscribe here.
2. Subscribe to the parish Always newsletter
Parish-wide news and opportunities. Sign up at the bottom of the parish home page.
3. Log in to the Renweb Parent Portal
Grades, school records, and the family directory live in RenWeb ParentsWeb (district code STA-WA). This is where you look up another family’s contact information. When creating an account, make sure to use the same email you used to enroll your student.
4. Watch for an email from your Room Parent
It arrives during the first week of school. That email is your class’s starting point — save it.
5. Join your class WhatsApp group
Completely optional yet recommended. Quick day-to-day chatter — carpools, reminders, “did anyone else’s kid mention a field trip?” Your Room Parent sends the invite link; groups are set up fresh each September.
6. Create a SignUp.com account
This is where every volunteer opportunity lives, all year. Browse what’s open whenever you have a free hour.
Looking for a specific form, policy, or link? Current Family Resources is the school’s full A–Z index.
Staying Informed
There are several channels, and they don’t overlap much. Here’s what each one is actually for, so you can tell at a glance whether you’re missing something.
| Channel | What it’s for | How often |
|---|---|---|
| Angels’ Angle | School news, events, deadlines. The main one. Subscribe | Weekly |
| Always | Parish news, Mass and sacrament information, parish events. Subscribe | Weekly |
| Parents’ Club email | Volunteer needs, PCB events, action items for families. | Weekly |
| Class WhatsApp group | Informal, in-the-moment class chatter. Invite comes from your Room Parent. | As needed |
| School Calendar | Dates, half days, no-school days, event times. View calendar | Check anytime |
| Renweb Parent Portal | Grades, records, and the family directory. Log in (code STA-WA) | Check anytime |
| Current Family Resources | The school’s A–Z index of every form, policy, and link. Open the index | Check anytime |
Feeling flooded? The Angels’ Angle and your Room Parent’s emails are the two you can’t skip. Everything else is optional, and everything on this page will still be here when you need it.
