KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNUAL CRAB FEED

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNUAL CRAB FEED

Happening: Saturday, March 23, 2019

The Knights of Columbus (Council 12889) is a fraternal organization that works closely with St. Alphonsus Parish providing funds and volunteering for various parish projects. They routinely donate funds for the school drama program and the school auction.  There are quite a few school fathers that are members of this great group!

Their fundraiser, the Crab Feed is being held Saturday, March 23, 2019.  Would you like to donate a dessert for their Dessert Dash?  We will need at least 25 desserts, it’s a quick way to volunteer!  Please contact Kristine Bulson with your dessert! [email protected]

Another way to support our community is to attend!  Tickets for the event are now on sale after weekend Mass.  If you’re a school family, please contact Maureen Endres for tickets.  [email protected]

Location: St. Alphonsus Family Center
Date: Saturday, March 23, 2019
Time: 6:30pm – doors open at 6:00pm.

Movie Night at Saint Alphonsus

Movie Night at Saint Al’s — March 2nd at 7:00 pm

St. Alphonsus Parish Involvement Ministry is excited to announce that we will be screening “Sign of Contradiction”, a documentary film on the life of St. Francis of Assisi presented by The Ministry of the Wild Goose and 4PM Media.

St. Francis is one of the most beloved saints in the world, but do we really know him? When the world saw him as a fool, he stood as a sign of contradiction.

The film presents St. Francis as a real person, not a characterization of an animal-loving saint from a distant time. Francis was a man who, like us, searched for purpose and meaning and was often times left empty. It wasn’t until he encountered Jesus Christ that his darkness and confusion were replaced with light and peace.

The film is best suited for high school age and older. While there is nothing that would be considered inappropriate for a younger audience, the weight of information makes it best suited for an older audience.

Come join your brothers and sisters in Christ and be inspired by the life of St. Francis and deepen your desire to live for God as he did.
