VOLUNTEERS: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR.

We Need Bakers!

Help Support our production by donating baked goods for us to sell at concessions. Our patrons look forward to a home-baked treat at intermission and your donation helps support our drama program. You earn two parent volunteer hours for your baked goods donation. We also need donations of bulk packages of chips (for the salty patron 😉).

And Kudos for our talented actors…
Not a baker? Then please help procure items we can then sell as kudos for your favorite actor – we’re looking for bulk chips and hershey bars.

Click here to donate.

High School Student Volunteers

We welcome high school students to come in and help us out. In particular we need help prepping our actors with hair and make-up, and setting up and running our concessions. If you know of any students who would be interested, please have them contact Tricia Bentley at [email protected] or (206) 617-1174.

Spring Open House

Hi St. Al’s Families,

We are hosting our Spring Open House next Wednesday, April 3, from 6-7:30 and I could use your help!  Please spread the word and invite friends!  I have several different marketing materials available if you have a community board at your work, a favorite ballet, karate, etc…anywhere where parents will be.

I could also use a few volunteers for the event as well as a few snacks.  Please look at the sign up genius and let me know how you can help.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNUAL CRAB FEED

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS ANNUAL CRAB FEED

Happening: Saturday, March 23, 2019

The Knights of Columbus (Council 12889) is a fraternal organization that works closely with St. Alphonsus Parish providing funds and volunteering for various parish projects. They routinely donate funds for the school drama program and the school auction.  There are quite a few school fathers that are members of this great group!

Their fundraiser, the Crab Feed is being held Saturday, March 23, 2019.  Would you like to donate a dessert for their Dessert Dash?  We will need at least 25 desserts, it’s a quick way to volunteer!  Please contact Kristine Bulson with your dessert! [email protected]

Another way to support our community is to attend!  Tickets for the event are now on sale after weekend Mass.  If you’re a school family, please contact Maureen Endres for tickets.  [email protected]

Location: St. Alphonsus Family Center
Date: Saturday, March 23, 2019
Time: 6:30pm – doors open at 6:00pm.
Tickets: $45 donation

Beauty & the Beast, Jr.

Beauty & the Beast, Jr.

We’re looking for antlers! As part of our set design we’re looking for antlers. You know, the kind you find at a hunting lodge or cabin-in-the-woods. Nothing overly large, in fact smaller is better.

If you have something we can borrow, please contact Tricia Bentley at [email protected].

Costume Work Party

Do you love Theater?  Can you sew? Are you a bargain thrift store hunter?

Costume Work Party
Saturday, March 2
2-4 pm
School Auditorium

We’re looking for volunteers to help us with this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr. You do not need to have a child cast in the show to volunteer. This Saturday we are having a Costume Work Party where we will begin by sorting through the many bins of costumes we already possess and outlining what needs to be re-purposed, adapted, created, purchased or procured. We’re looking to assemble a team to hit thrift stores, hem here or there, and help organize. We promise a fun time, clear communication, and tasks based on volunteer time available. Please reach out to Victoria Long and let her know you want to be part of this year’s Costume Crew: [email protected].

If there are other ways you would like to help with the middle school musical, please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Tricia Bentley at [email protected].
