From the Desk of the Librarian

Hello Middle School Families! So, I hear I’ll be seeing some of your kiddos here in the building pretty soon. To that let me just say woohoo! You guys, we’re so excited and nervous and freaking out about all of this, but in the BEST possible way. I’m going to be spending some extra time before the students get here to get the library in order so the shelves will be ready to be perused and used again.

CYO Updates

Hello, St. Al families,

I wanted to send a general note with an apology for the confusing information thus far.  CYO is scrambling to put together sports for our kids and the hurdles are high.  The biggest issue is field space.  Since sports are now opening for all, there is a huge demand for fields.  The city has little space available which affects our ability to put together the usual programs.  Additionally, we are working within the guidelines for COVID, which means that St. Al/St. John is trying to keep kids within their school cohorts/grades.  The only concrete information I can share thus far is for K-3 soccer.  We will be forming one St. Al team per grade.  I know there are some pre-K parents that are interested in playing.  If we have room on the K team, then I will add you to the roster.  Official registration will open next week through Happy Feet and you can read more about it in the official announcement below.  In the meantime, I would like to gauge interest in K-3 soccer.  If your child would like to play or you would like to volunteer, please send me an email with your child’s name and grade.
Thank you,
Julie

From the Desk of the Librarian

Holy loud voices, Batman! It is wonderful and astounding how the sound of children’s voices echoing through the building can be like the most beautiful of choirs. I am so happy to SEE the primary kids each week and, with the addition of 4th grade today, I am running around the building like a crazy lady and I LOVE IT! We’re still figuring some stuff out but your kids are masked wonders about it all.
