From the Desk of the Librarian

Happy Native American Heritage Month! During the month of November, we’ve been reading stories that celebrate the history and traditions of our nation’s first peoples. As we all know, our land wasn’t discovered so much as it was conquered and, with that turmoil, the native people who lived here first have been given a side note in history. Cross country is a great way to get moving!  Virtual meets are held each weekend and on your own schedule. You and your athlete control when and where they run and then you submit their time.  Your runner will then be able to see how they compete with others in their age group.  If you would like to join, there are three more virtual meets with no registration fee!  Go to Team Sideline to register.
