All volunteers who have ongoing unsupervised contact with our students (including classroom volunteers, field trip chaperons, coaches) must successfully complete the Safe Environment Program. Please visit www.virtus.org and click Registration. In order to be a Safe Environment approved volunteer you need to read and approve policies, complete a background check, and take the introductory class.
When you register online, if it says the class is full, email the Parish Office to see if there is space available. The class usually runs about 2-3 hours.
Wednesday, September 19 at 8:45 am (after drop-off)
Please register at virtus.org. Click First-Time Registrant to create a profile and follow the prompts to complete the other requirements of a background check and policies sign-off. One of the prompts is signing up for a class, and you can scroll down until you find ours (although you can take at another location if that is easier for you).
Note When Registering:
- When selecting an organization, first select the Archdiocese of Seattle, then select St. Alphonsus later in the process.
- One of the fields in the background check asks for a Social Security number. This is not a required field, so we encourage you to leave this blank.
Please make sure your account is up to date. Online updates only need to be done every 3 years. This is tied to your background check. When you are due for your next background check you will be prompted to do a class.
